Church High operates a unique joint venture with the Tynemouth Nursery Group –  a full service day nursery called ‘Tynemouth Nursery at Church High’.

The award-winning nursery, Tynemouth Nursery Group, forms strong partnerships with parents and works to meet the needs of the individual child. The day nursery aims to provide the same level of care for each child that a parent would offer at home. It also provides a safe, warm and stimulating environment for children.

Skilled staff, chosen for their enthusiasm, patience and positive approach, ensure the children are fastidiously cared for and, of paramount importance, that they are happy, safe and secure. Staff share our ethos and philosophy in creating a homely environment where children make new friends, meet new challenges and flourish during their early years.
.
Children will immediately start to develop when they interact with other children. As they progress, their days become more structured. Higher than required staff ratios are provided in order to guarantee the individual attention needed to progress.

Zone4Kids, Tynemouth Nursery Group’s popular after-school and holiday care facility, is also available on the Church High site and is unique to the independent schools’ sector within the immediate locality.

Girls who join Tynemouth Nursery have the advantage of choosing to move into Church High’s pre-school nursery from the age of three onwards and this makes ideal preparation for school life at Church High.
